Who is Kat?

Hi there! My name is Kathleen or Kat, and I’m from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Kat Pegi Mana: Where Is Kat Going is a travel blog featuring travels in Asia and beyond with focus on history, heritage, arts and culture.

Kat Pegi Mana means β€œWhere Is Kat Going” in the Malay language, and that is the question my friends always ask me, whenever we meet. They see the wanderlust in me!

Although the name of my blog may sound foreign to you, rest assured, I write in English πŸ™‚ I write posts featuring destination highlights, walking tours, travel narratives, hotel reviews and photo essays. Some of my posts were written in collaboration with tourism boards, hotels, travel trade association and online travel agencies. I’m also a content and travel writer with works published in a Malaysian national newspaper, Malindo Airlines in-flight magazine, print & digital travel publications.

Through my writing, I aim to inspire people to appreciate and connect with various heritage and cultures around the world.
